What is Private Duty?
Private Duty is a service offered under Home Care where our staff offers a wide range of medical and non-medical services to support patients with their daily lives and keep them as safe and independent as possible in their homes.
What Services are offered under private duty?
Our team understands that assisting with small tasks make a large impact on day to day life. We provide aid with medication set up, medication reminders, meal preparations, basic house keeping, running errands and providing the comfort of company, companionship and care giving.
Keeping up with hygiene can become difficult, and we are here to help with bathing, grooming, mobility support, clothes dressing, and incontinence care.
We provide transportation when needing to visit a doctor, pick up items from the store, or refill a prescription.
Returning home after hospitalization or another care facility can be strenuous. We are here to assist with the transition by making sure prescriptions are picked up and physician follow up appointments are made.
Who is part of the Private Duty team?
The ruralMED Private Duty care team includes registered nurses and certified nursing assistants. We are in constant contact with our patients and their family members to ensure the best collaboration possible on meeting the needs and wishes of our patients.
Coverage for Private Duty
Private duty can be covered by Medicaid, Veterans Administration (VA) and some private insurances or is paid out-of-pocket. We can check with your provider to see if they will cover full or partial coverage.
