When you join our team as a Director of Revenue Cycle Services, you will work closely with remote staff and rural clients in the Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic realm. Utilizing your extensive knowledge and expertise in leadership and revenue cycle management, you will guide, encourage, and inspire our teams and our clients. Through the management of complex change initiatives, coordination of process improvements, collaboration with a wide variety of staff, and facilitation of workflow changes, you will ensure the achievement of industry best practice standards for our clients.

Position Summary:

The Revenue Cycle Director will provide leadership, oversight, and expertise for all revenue cycle functions within their designated clientele. They will manage complex change initiatives, drive process improvements, collaborate with a wide variety of staff, and facilitate workflow changes to ensure the achievement of industry best practices standards for the client. This position will work closely with rural clients, requiring extensive knowledge and experience in Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic revenue cycle management.


Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

1. Five Years Experience in Revenue Cycle Management with a focus on Critical Access and Rural Health Clinic
2. Bachelor’s degree in business or Related Field
3. Cerner Community Works and/or Meditech Experience Preferred

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight of processes and staff assigned to designed clientele, including:
    • Front facing client management, providing ongoing support, professional communication, expertise, and detailed status reports
    • Management of staff performing hands on revenue cycle operations, including billing, coding, charge entry, claims submissions, payment posting, accounts receivable follow-up, denial and reimbursement management
    • Conducts continuous high level project assessments and adjusts staff and processes as necessary
  • Supervises personnel, including hiring, training, coaching, work allocation, problem resolution, and performance evaluation
  • Motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
  • Identifies and implements Revenue Cycle solutions which include the utilization of industry best practices, process standardization, metric/dashboard development & measurement and a common scalable technology platform to leverage and build from.
  • Performs Revenue Cycle Assessments for clients, including detailed findings and recommendations
  • Monitor dashboards and KPI stoplight reports to drive KPIs to achieve Revenue Cycle goals. Analyze trends and make appropriate processes changes to positively impact Revenue Cycle KPIs.
  • Coordinates audits of current procedures to monitor and improve efficiency of revenue cycle operations
  • Develops and implements operational policy and procedure manuals, desk references and other reference materials and ensures consistent communication of revenue cycle policies and procedures.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to identify and implement Revenue Cycle solutions which includes the utilization of industry best practices/standards, process standardization, metric/dashboard development & measurement and a common and scalable technology platform to leverage and build from.
  • Initiates project plan development, workflow analysis, and management of complex process improvement/change management projects. Drives change and responds to difficult situations with ease
  • Performs direct hands-on work within assigned area of expertise to the highest level of quality and maintains a superior level of productivity
  • Perform payer trend analysis to ensure optimal processing and reimbursement, identify issues, communicate findings to Revenue Cycle stakeholders, define solutions and initiate resolution Performance Monitoring

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Cerner Community Works and/or Meditech Experience Preferred
